Hello! Are you having a good day? I spent a week like this. I went to the Shindaisai festival held at Niigata University over the weekend. There are many stalls and it was very crowded. Among them, I bought tortoise candy. It’s very cute and delicious!                 I saw a very strange sky! Since I found it at night, I went home feeling a little scared. I’m a little worried because I often hear that strange sky patterns are a harbinger of something.
Key Takeaways  Ms.Burtz’s work on the Echigo Matsudai Harunojin Trail Race offers a fascinating perspective on regional revitalization. She highlighted how the race was not just about promoting physical activity but also about showing local culture, food, and natural beauty . One surprising aspect was her decision-making process. Rather than being overwhelmed by social issues, she narrowed down feasible, effective projects. Her approach to monetization-ensuring her project was sustainable through event participation fees-challenged my view that revitalization projects rely on government funding or donations. The emphasis on local collaboration and media exposure underscored how revitalization efforts can build a community spirit and international engagement. Application to Your Project  For our group project, l plan to incorporate some of the strategies Ms.Burtz used, such as carefully observing the issues and strengths of the region before finalizing a project idea. Her...

Momoka’s introduction

Hello everyone! My name is Momoka Asano. I'm a first student in the school of international economics studies.  My hobby is watching movies, especially those with international themes and social issues. I became interested in this because my high school homeroom teacher often showed Western movies in class. Movies are also a form of learning for me, as I can learn about the culture and background of various countries. Lately, I’ve started watching movies and documentaries with economics themes, with l enjoy while also learning. I like cats. I used to have a cat at home, and spending time with it everyday was soothing. I was very healthy by the cat’s carefree personality and cute behavior. Even now, whenever I see a cat on the roadside, I always end up taking pictures of it. My dream is to have two cats in my house when I become a member of society. Since entering university , I have been able to learn deeply...
Hello! Are you having a good day?  I spent a week like this. I went to a cafe called Yummy’s Coffee with my friends. The place is famous for its gelato, but I ate the curry. It was very delicious so please try it once! One day on my way home, I found a very beautiful moon! Seeing the beautiful moon made me feel like my heart was being purified. (Please forgive me for not being able to take a good photo.)
